LISA VOGEL
Media Buyer
lisa@zenergycom.com
Lisa believes strongly that where you come from has significant bearing on where you're going, and that how you get there is vital. Lisa spent her youth as a competitive gymnast training at the National level and as a gymnastics coach. She then moved to competitive dance and choreography. Through these experiences, she came to appreciate the value of hard work, discipline, focus and always expecting 100% from herself. To this day, if she can’t do something exceptionally well, she would prefer to not do it at all. She was an Ontario Scholar and graduated from McGill University in Montreal. Lisa entered the advertising arena as a Media Buyer/Planner at a leading edge agency, Echo Advertising, which she called home for over 6 years. While working there, she bought and planned across all media (television, radio, print, and out-of-home) in Canada and the United States. She then joined IMS Radio as a National Radio Sales representative. At IMS, she lobbied to create the position of New Business Development Manager because she wanted to work with clients directly, learn more about their brands and get closer to their business. Having been on both sides of the desk (buying and selling), affords her a broad perspective and more intimate knowledge of the media planning and executing processes. After five years at IMS, Lisa left to go on maternity leave. During her tenure there, she generated over $8M in new and client direct revenue. Clients she has directly worked with to develop and execute customized marketing campaigns include: Howson Tattersall, President’s Choice Financial, Sun Life Trust, Sun Life Securities, Coca Cola Ltd., Danone International Brands, Gelato Fresco, The Kawartha Dairy Company, Melitta coffee, Moosehead beer, Playtex Ltd., SC Johnson, Snapple Beverages, Sun-Rype Ltd., Tetley Canada Inc., Weber-Stephen Products, W.F. Young (Absorbine Jr.), Wrigley’s Excel, Hitachi, Sanyo, Union Energy, US Airways, Feld Entertainment (Disney on Ice Shows), Tabi International, The Alzheimer Society of Toronto, The Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario and Ontario Red Cross. This broad cross-section of categories offers Lisa a tremendous “vault” of experience to tap into.
